At QE we are very keen to gather the views of parents and to that end we have introduced a Parents in Partnership Scheme. The aim of this scheme is to provide a forum for discussion between parents and the school that will benefit the children’s learning.
The Parents in Partnership scheme will work by having a meeting each term with the Headteacher and one or more governors. Any parent is welcome to attend the meetings and we would really encourage you to do so if you are free as we see this scheme as an important part of improving our communication with you and getting a better understanding of how we can develop the home-school partnership.
Each meeting will have at least one specific focus on which the school would like to hear parental opinion. Amongst the topics we would like to discuss this year are home-school communication, the information parents would find helpful in order to support their children at home and reporting children’s progress to parents. The second aspect of each meeting will be the opportunity for parents to raise issues they would like to discuss with the school. As much as possible, these issues would need to be identified in advance and added to the agenda. The agenda for each meeting will be set by the Headteacher and put onto the school website in advance of the meeting.
Meetings will either be held from 2.00 – 3.10pm or in the evenings, depending upon the availability of parents. The times and dates of all the meetings for the year will be announced on this page shortly.
The next Parents in Partnership meeting will be posted here once confirmed.
