As part of our Faith Day on the teachings of Jesus, we learnt what he meant by love your neighbour. To do this, we stepped learnt hard life can be for people in other parts of the world. To do this, we imagined we were a child living in Kolkata who has to work by making paper bags to be sold in the city. We then worked out if we made enough money to buy essentials such as food and accommodation. Despite making a lot of bags (see one of the pictures), no-one made enough to buy the essentials let alone have money left over for other luxuries.
