5P's class page

As part of our topic on World War 2, 5P had an evacuee day where we came dressed as evacuees and were evacuated to other classrooms. Here we are in our outfits outside the school's World War 2 shelter:

As part of our evacuee day, we had to be evacuated as the air-raid siren went off. While we were out, our class was attacked. We had to channel our inner 'Blitz spirit' to put it back together again and afterwards we wrote a diary entry about our day.

To finish off our Forces Science topic and help us prepare for our Space topic, Year 5 went on a trip to Winchester Science Museum. Here we did a forces work shop where we tried to make the most aerodynamic rocket and visited the planetarium. Here are some photos from our day

For Easter Pause Day, 5P studied the Easter story and thought about different people's reactions and feelings to Jesus being resurrected. We then performed a news report interviewing these people.

For Outdoor Learning Week, we measured the field and other areas of the school in preparation for us coming up with our designs for how we would like to develop the outdoor space.

After that, we designed how we would like the top field to be used to promote outdoor learning.

As part of our RE topic on Islam, Year 5 visited Woking mosque.

Here is 5P looking amazing in their World Book day costumes.
