6D's class page
6D thoroughly enjoyed performing their class assembly. They loved sharing all the facts they had learnt about Ancient Egypt and the audience were very impressed with all the amazing singing!
Year 6 had an amazing day out to Wildwood on the last day of SATs week. We all had a lot of fun and it was a well-deserved break!
Year 6 have started their new topic, 'Being Human.' Last week, we learnt about how our hearts pump blood around our bodies. We learnt new vocabulary such as arteries, ventricles and septum. using plasticine, we created models of the human heart and labelled the different parts.
For the Spring Term ILT, 6D designed and created their own bridges. They researched different types of bridges, chose their own materials and worked extremely hard on them.
We spent time talking about and designing an outdoor learning area. We had many good ideas: a new seating area, living walls, a pond and even a fire pit! Our designs will now be shared with the Eco Committee.
We used instruments to create a spooky atmosphere to accompany our Book Week story, 'There's a Ghost in this House.'
