Sports
Children are selected for sporting events according to four criteria:
1. Attending a relevant club to the sporting event
2. Signing up on the sheet at school (children are advised when to do this)
3. Ability in the relevant sport
4. A teacher offering the opportunity to the child
Tournaments
The following Sporting Fixtures took place in the Autumn Term 2025:
Netball
QE Y5 8 Send 0
QE Y6A 2 Send 1
QE Y5 1 St Joseph’s 5
QE Y6 1 St Joseph’s 9
We were disappointed to not have more matches this half term and are hoping that next term there will be more opportunities!

Football
QE 3rd in the Boys Football Tournament against other Guildford schools.
A newly-formed Year 5/6 Girls Football team represented QE at the Football Tournament against other Guildford schools and showed great teamwork and sportsmanship.
7-1 win for the Year 6 B-team against Tillingbourne.

Inter-house Sports
This half term Mr Guest and Mr Clarke, alongside the Sports Captains, have arranged for all year groups to put their names forward and participate in inter-house sports. So far we have had Dodgeball and Crab Football at lunchtimes. This has provided more opportunities for all children to be engaged in sporting events, whatever their sporting ability, and has been incredibly popular.
